Chris proposed on July 14th Kayaking at the Carlsbad Lagoon. We were walking in the sand and he asked to stop to look at the lagoon. He wanted us to make sand seats by digging in the sand. We started digging and I hit the top of something. As I kept digging I found a treasure chest. He opened the box and it had a old map written with the words " Ashley Koopsen will ye marry me?" He got down on one knee and proposed with the most amazing ring! Of course I said yes!! After we kayaked back to the other side of the lagoon, both our families were there with signs and champagne! They had been taking pictures and filming us the whole time! It was magical, romantic, and wonderful! We are so blessed!
